Toxic Backlink Checker is a free web tool that scans a domain for spam-flagged referring domains and lets you export a CSV or a draft disavow file. There is no account, no credit card, and no paywall on the core scan. The homepage product is the toxic backlink checker; this page explains why it exists and what we will not oversell.
Link spam still shows up in commercial backlink indexes long after search systems learn to ignore much of it. Site owners and consultants still need a shortlist they can review with humans, not a panic button that pretends every flag is a penalty. We built a focused scanner for that triage job: see the noisy referring domains, sample the live pages, then decide ignore, remove, or (rarely) disavow.
The scanner is a free product today. Fair-use limits control the cost of index lookups, hosting, and abuse prevention. We do not claim venture funding, revenue milestones, or paid customer counts. If optional paid features appear later, they will be described clearly on the site. Until then, the deal is simple: free scans with published limits so the tool can stay online for everyone.
We are not Google, not a Search Console replacement, and not a guarantee that cleaning links will raise rankings. Flags come from third-party heuristics layered on a commercial backlink index. They help you prioritize review. They are not an official Google verdict. Read the methodology before you treat any row as actionable risk.
Paste a domain you own or are authorized to audit, then review every flagged host before outreach or any Search Console upload.
